Thala Ajith’s ‘Valimai’ is one of the biggest projects that is under production in Indian cinema and producer Boney Kapoor even hinted that its pan Indian and will have a Hindi version too. The film directed by H. Vinod has Ajith playing a super cop with Huma Qureshi, Karthikeya and Yogi Babu also in the cast. Fifty percent of shooting has been completed and the rest will resume as soon as the coronavirus pandemic ends.
Boney Kapoor meanwhile has bagged the Hindi remake rights of the sleeper hit Malayalam film ‘Helen’ that deals with a father and daughter relationship starring Anna Ben and Lal in the lead roles.
The Tamil remake of ‘Helen’ is directed by Gokul and stars Arun Pandian and his daughter Keerthy Pandian in the lead roles and is nearing completion.
Boney Kapoor has decided to cast his and the late Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role and the rest of the casting is underway. Mathukutty Xavier who wrote and directed the original has shared on social media “Helen, since the day it released, it has never stopped making us proud.
